Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper in Talks

Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper could be co-starring in the remake of The A-Team.

The two actors are currently in negotiations to star in the film The A-Team, which is based on the 1980s television series.

Neeson would be playing Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, who was formerly played by George Peppard on the small screen. Cooper would take on the role of  Lieutenant Templeton "Faceman" Peck, originally portrayed by Dick Benedict.

In the series, four Vietnam veterans convicted of armed robbery escape military prison and become benevolent mercenaries.

Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces) will direct the project, which is a work of Ridley Scott, Jules Daly and the creator of the series, Stephen J. Cannell.

Shooting is set to begin at the end of August, and the film is expected to open on June 11, 2010.

In the meantime, we can soon see Neeson in Five Minutes of Heaven, opening in August, and in the next Atom Egoyan film, Chloe. As for Cooper, he is currently starring in The Hangover, and will be featured in All About Steve on September 4.
