Liam Neeson May Play Pope John Paul II

Production for the film began last summer.  For the past three years, producers have been working on the project, but promised not to air anything until after the Pope had passed away.

According to the producers, the mini-series will reveal several details of the life of the late leader.  The story will begin with the attempted assasination in 1981.

Liam Neeson is known for his work in the films Schindler’s List and Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
