According to partial autopsy reports, at the time of his tragic death, the singer had a cocktail of drugs in his bloodstream, including cocaine and benzodiazepines.

In addition, drug paraphernalia was found in Payne’s hotel room.
It should be remembered that shortly before his death, hotel managers had contacted emergency services to request police dispatch, citing a worrying guest they described as under the influence of “drugs and alcohol”.

The worker was clearly already worried for Payne’s life at this point, as evidenced by his call to the emergency services:
“(…) He’s in a room with a balcony and we were afraid he could do something that threatens his life.”

Emergency services arrived on the scene just seven minutes after the call, but unfortunately it was too late for the 31-year-old singer.
His loved ones and thousands of fans around the world continue to pay tribute to him in recent days.
