It’s the kind of statement that should be taken seriously-singers don’t tend to claim these kinds of things unless they’re for real, for fear of being ridiculed if the rumours turn out to be false.
According to the rapper Lil ‘Kim, Rihanna and her team are currently working on a song in which she’ll be invited to sing with the megastar. "I’m a huge [Rihanna] fan and she’s a friend of mine, so I’m almost guessing — if I had to guess — I’m 90 percent sure that a song is probably in the works," claimed Lil ‘Kim on the website of Lifelounge, an Australian magazine.
Then, realizing that she may have revealed too much, the rapper quickly tried to backpedal, with little success.
"I look at it this way: If it happens, it happens. And it should be a surprise. It shouldn’t be something that people are anticipating, or have their own personal opinions on it before it even comes out," she said.
Rihanna’s clan, however, has yet to comment on Lil’ Kim’s claims. The singer began her brand-new tour Last Girl On Earth by cancelling her show in Washington last Friday, July 2. Rihanna said the new version of the show wasn’t ready after two months spent touring Europe.
