Lil Wayne releases four new videos

The four new videos were made in Miami over Super Bowl weekend.

To make sure people don’t forget about him while he is spending a year in prison, rapper Lil Wayne worked on a number of projects over the last few months of his freedom.

During Super Bowl weekend in Miami last February, Lil Wayne and his team shot no fewer than four videos. The first, Da Da Da, premiered yesterday (May 27). It will be followed this coming weekend by three other videos that will be broadcast for the first time on MTV Jams and MTV2.

The video for Da Da Da was recorded as if the rapper was giving an impromptu performance live from the roof of the Marlin Hotel in Miami. It’s reminiscent of what U2 did on a Los Angeles roof for the song Where the Streets Have No Name in 1987. That video earned the Irish group an MTV award for best video.

Besides making Da Da Da, Lil Wayne took advantage of his time in Miami to make a video for the song Knockout with Nicki Minaj, Runnin‘ with Shanell and finally a video for Get a Life.
