Lilith Fair 2010 a success

The 2010 Lilith Fair tour was a success despite canceled dates.

The 2010 Lilith Fair tour wa successful because  it raised more than U.S. $ 500,000 for charities in North America, reports Starpulse,

The tour this year got off to a rough start when  Norah Jones and Kelly Clarkson pulled out of shows because of low tickets sales.

Today, charity honchos commended the efforts of Lilith Fair’s founder, Canadian signer Sarah McLachlan, as well as Mary J. Blige, the Indigo Girls, and other female stars who took part in the tour.

Lilith Fair visited 23 cities in 2010; next year, there’s talk of extending the tour to Australia.

"I have a moral and social responsibility as a human being to give back what I can. Lilith 2010 was an amazing experience for me on so many levels. It felt so great to be back out on the road and sharing the stage with so many talented women," said Nova Scotia native McLachlan.
