Lily Aldridge has designed her first clothing line.
The Victoria’s Secret model has teamed up with Velvet by Graham & Spencer to create a "laid-back luxe" collection of 13 pieces, which reflects the star’s own "mix of boho rock-and-roll glamour" as well as the brand’s classic aesthetic.
Lily told Vogue.co.uk: "It was a very natural collaboration. I’ve been working for Velvet for 10 years so when they asked me to do this it was an easy yes.
"As a model you have such an amazing glimpse into fashion and what the designers are creating and how it fits. I wanted to create a line that was cool and easy to wear. You can wear every piece of my collection for day or night."
The 27-year-old brunette became the face of Velvet in 2004 and was encouraged by creative directors Jenny Graham and Toni Spencer to make her design debut.
Each purse-friendly item is named after one of Lily’s friends or family members and retails between £59 and £196.
The striking star added: "I would love to keep designing. I love fashion and to create a line like this makes me very proud – I wasn’t sure how to start it, but I’m so happy my first venture was with Velvet.
"I designed a piece in my collection for Velvet in navy and white that instantly adds a touch of Parisian chic to any outfit. A military jacket also always works for spring. I designed one for my little sister Ruby."
