Lily Allen Can’t Sing

Lily Allen recently cancelled her second television performance.

Allen’s throat problems are persisting, and have forced the singer to cancel a scheduled appearance for the second time.

The British star had planned to perform at the Jingle Bell Ball on December 5 in London, but her doctors advised her to stay home and rest.

Allen, 24, has been battling laryngitis and bronchitis for the past two months.  Now, her illness has forced her to cancel a television appearance on Monday (December 14).  The singer was scheduled to take part in the annual special, BBC Top of the Pops, but cancelled just hours before the show.

The star has several appearances planned before her final concert with Dizzee Rascal at London’s O2 Arena in March.  Following the concert, Allen plans on taking a two-year break from the music world.

Recently, Allen made headlines when she and her family members were involved in a brawl at a London restaurant.  In celebration of her sister’s birthday, the family had reserved a private table at a restaurant, but found a group of men at their table when they arrived, and a fracas broke out.
