The British singer, who has already designed her own collection for the brand New Look, was thrilled to learn that Chanel’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, wants her to be the face of the ad campaign for the company’s fall/winter 2009 handbag collection, reports FemaleFirst.
A source stated, "Lily cannot believe her luck but she is nervous."
The source added that penning the deal was a moment of epiphany for Allen, since she is such a huge fan of the brand.
When she poses for the Chanel advertisement next week, Allen will be following in the footsteps of model Jerry Hall and actresses Nicole Kidman and Keira Knightley.
