Lily Allen to Take a Big Breather

Lily Allen wants to work on other projects, and is fine with a 2-year break.

A few months ago, Allen revealed that she wanted to completely leave the music industry behind.  However, now she says that she plans to take a 2-year hiatus.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, she said, “My last concert is my Dizzee Rascal concert at The O2 Arena in March. That’s the last thing I’ve got planned. I’m just going to concentrate on doing some behind the scenes sort of stuff."

The singer chose not to renew her recording contract last September.

During her long pause, Allen is planning to open a rentable-clothing boutique, called Lucy In Disguise, with her sister Sarah. The name takes after the Beatles song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

Her intention of opening the boutique is to offer a good public service. She explained, "It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars."

The singer also has plans to spend time enjoying her newly built home.
