Limp Bizkit threaten to sack members

Limp Bizkit are threatening to fire two of the group’s original members, DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto.

Limp Bizkit are threatening to fire two of the group’s original members.

The ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’ band have just signed a new deal with Cash Money Records, but band members DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto say they face being kicked out by singer Fred Durst.

DJ Lethal wrote on twitter: "Fred has plans for a ‘new’ LIMP BIZKIT which doesn’t include John Otto or I (sic).

"From what I understand, Fred doesn’t approve of our lifestyle which includes partying and fun."

He added to website TMZ: "We’ve worked together the last four years to bring Limp Bizkit back to where it is today, and to just be thrown out on the street after the band gets a new deal and a new chance at life isn’t cool."

Fred has yet to comment, but guitarist Wes Borland has defended his stance.

He wrote on twitter: "Our only intention has been to move ahead with the parts of the band that can function together.

"And none of this has been Fred’s decision alone. It’s been between [Bassist] Sam [Rivers], Fred, and I and has been an ever-evolving situation. So please get off Fred’s back about it, because we are together in this."

Limp Bizkit went on hiatus between 2004 and 2009 before launching a comeback tour and a new album, ‘Gold Cobra’ in 2011. The record was not a hit, and led to them being dropped by label Interscope, but they have continue to tour and are preparing a new EP, ‘The Unquestionable Truth (Part 2)’.
