Lohan has been charged with driving while intoxicated. The 21 year-old star was driving erratically in the streets of Santa Monica, California when police caught her.
The actress failed an alcohol breathalyzer test, and was taken into custody. She was later released on $25,000 bail.
Lohan later claimed her innocence by sending an email to Access Hollywood. In the message, Lohan claims that the drugs found in her car did not belong to her. She also asked the media to respect her privacy.
Lohan will be in court on August 24 to defend herself on charges of driving while intoxicated from an incident in May.
