Lindsay Lohan frustrated by legal troubles

Friend says actress is "angry" about her newest jail sentence.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is "angry" about her current legal woes after being found guilty of violating of her probation on Friday (April 22), a friend of the celebrity told People.

Accused of shoplifting a $2,500 necklace, Lohan was sentenced to four months jail time and 480 hours of community service after a California judge ruled that she had violated the conditions her current probation.

"She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around," said Nathan Folks, a friend of the star. "She didn’t do what they said she did. She didn’t steal that necklace."

Following the verdict, Lohan returned to Lynwood Jail, but was released on bail within a few hours of being booked. The $75,000 bail will keep her out of jail while she appeals her case – although experts say she has little chance of winning the appeal.

According to Folks, Lohan has come to accept her sentence despite her claims of innocence.

"She is ready to do her time. She wants to go to A.A. and N.A. and to serve her 400 hours. She has already been doing lots of charity work."
