Lindsay Lohan sues her fashion label

Actress Lindsay Lohan is expected to file a lawsuit against her 6126 Collection fashion label today over claims she owns the ‘6126’ trademark.

Lindsay Lohan is suing her former fashion label.

The ‘Liz & Dick’ actress – who launched the 6126 Collection along with her business partner Kristi Kaylor in 2008 – is expected to file a $1.1 million lawsuit against the label today (01.31.13) over rights to the 6126 brand name, reports TMZ.

Lindsay, 26, chose the numerological name for the line – which specialized in leggings designed by the actress before ranging into a wide variety of clothing – in honor of her idol Marilyn Monroe’s birth date on June 1, 1926 and claims she owns the trademark to 6126.

The troubled actress’ lawyer, Perry Wander, is expected to file the lawsuit in federal court today.

It isn’t the first time the label – which has been inactive since 2010 – has come under legal fire. In 2010, photographer Nathan Scott filed a lawsuit against 6126 and Lindsay, alleging he was promised one per cent interest in the company in exchange for shooting promotional pictures for the fashion line.

Lindsay previously said of 6126’s fashion range: "I took inspiration from old Hollywood glamour and added a modern edge."
