Lindsay Lohan is following actress Katherine Heigl’s path and has withdrawn herself from the Emmy race, reports UsMagazine.com.
Lohan, who made a special appearance in the final episode of the show Ugly Betty last May, took her name off the Emmy list to increase her chances of winning next year. The star appeared in five episodes as Betty’s friend.
A rep for the actress stated, "The appearance was brief. We made a decision to wait."
The creator of Ugly Betty, Silvio Horta, commented on Lohan’s participation, saying, "She was terrific – a pleasure. She came in early and was very pleasant."
