The Mean Girls star was actually incarcerated for less than two hours at the Lynwood County jail in Los Angeles yesterday (November 15). She had been ordered to serve one day by the court, according to FemaleFirst. The actress entered the jail at 10:30 and was released at 11:54.
Lohan was initially sentenced to four days in jail for driving while intoxicated. Her sentence was reduced on the condition that the star serve 10 days of community service. Lohan’s sentence was the result of her arrest last July.
Lohan, who left a Utah detoxification centre on October 5, faces three years of probation and will also be required to attend an alcohol education program for 18 months. Lohan began her community service on Monday (November 12) by working with the Red Cross in Los Angeles.
Nicole Richie spent 82 minutes in the same prison last August for driving while intoxicated.
