According to People magazine, the actress and singer is currently in a public battle with her mother.
The two women had a verbal altercation on September 14 at New York’s Philippe restaurant. It was the star’s mother’s birthday, although the mood rapidly declined when the two women started fighting with each other.
Following the argument, a witness told the magazine that the 20 year-old actress left the restuarant, and told her mother, "go to hell."
Lindsay Lohan and her mother have had a working relationship for 17 years, so some say it’s normal for this type of outburst. A source close to the family added, "Lindsay is no longer a teenager. She needs her mother less in a managing capacity and more as a family member."
Just one day later, Lohan fell and fractured two bones in her arm. Her mother joined her at the hospital.
