Linkin Park to offer official concert bootlegs

Free concert recording given to fans who attend the show.

Rock band Linkin Park will be offering a free recording of their concert for fans who attend the show, reports Music News.

A special code will be displayed during the concert, and audience members can simply text the code to get their complimentary download link – allowing  them to relive the concert experience once they get home.

"The energy we get from our fans is what makes a great show. We wanted to show our appreciation by giving that experience back to them," said Dave Ferrell, bassist for the group.

The recording and distribution will be handled by Basecamp Productions, a company which specializes in "official bootlegs." The production house has handled similar projects for Pearl Jam, Jay Z, Bono, and Kings of Leon, among many others.

Linkin Park released their fourth studio album, A Thousand Suns, this September. A concept album, the recording revolves around the theme of nuclear warfare, with the title referencing a quote from J. Robert Oppenheimer, the "father of the atomic bomb."
