Liv Tyler returns to Pantene 15 years later

Actress first modeled for haircare brand when she was just 19 years old.

A full 15 years ago, in 1996, American actress Liv Tyler first modeled for the Pantene hair brand as a fresh-faced 19-year-old, and now she’s back, reports Coco Perez.

Daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and model Bebe Buell, the 34-year-old Tyler is just as gorgeous as ever, having inherited her dad’s luscious lips and piercing blue eyes.

Tyler is the new U.K. brand ambassador representing a new line called Repair & Protect expected in stores in November. This new line for normal to thick hair reportedly has cutting-edge ingredients and claims high performance results.

"I’m excited about working on the project", said Tyler, "especially as I did a Pantene ad back in 1996 when I was 19. I’ve tried lots of haircare brands over the years, but Pantene is my favourite as it always leaves my hair looking really healthy."

By becoming the new ambassador of Pantene Pro-V, Liv Tyler joins a team of celebrities who represent the brand, including Eva Mendes, Cat Deeley, and Naomi Watts.

According to P&G, the brand used NASA technology to study women’s hair, and spent years formulating the new formula. The company used a microscope similar to the one NASA used to study the surface of Mars, which allowed them to study the surface of the hair and better understand how different hair fibers react with different ingredients, depending on their physical structure.
