The artist received roughly 4,000 applications from people who need a car to get to work. Participants were asked to write a 300-word essay explaining why they deserved a car.
Ludacris worked together with a suburban Atlanta car dealership to offer the vehicles, which each came provided with free gas for the first 30 days.
