M.I.A. and Jay-Z have worked together before. Her 2008 song Boyz featured the NYC King of Rap. When she was nine-months pregnant in 2009, she performed Swagga Like Us with Jay-Z at the Grammy Awards along with Lil Wayne, T.I. and Kanye West. Most recently, he did a remix of her new single XXXO.
Now M.I.A. has a new project for Jay-Z. She talked to MTV.com about what she has in mind.
The artist confided: "I really want to produce for him. … I have got the perfect song for Jay-Z! In fact, that’s the best one that I had for my album which never made it. [It was] the first song I was really into and the song that actually made my album go in the direction it did, [but it] never actually made the album. But I want to give it to [Jay-Z], because I think it suits him more. It’s insane. He’s never done anything like that."
