Madame Tussauds arrives in Bangkok

Famous wax museum opens third attraction in Asia.

World-famous wax museum Madame Tussauds has opened a new museum in Bangkok – their third attraction in Asia, and tenth worldwide, reports Routard.

Like Tussauds’ other museums, the new Bangkok attraction features a huge array of international A-listers, including Hollywood stars, political figures, athletes and other famous figures.

According to the official website, visitors can "be photographed with President Obama in the oval office; penalty shoot with Steven Gerrard; get into [their] favourite scene with Ann Thongprasom; [and] take a journey with Dr. Pornthip Rojanasunan on her wall of discovery."

Madame Tussauds Bangkok also enjoys the patronage of Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej, which allows them to offer something unique – a royal room where visitors can learn about the life of His Majesty’s parents and the history of the ruling Chakri dynasty.

The 2,000-square meter museum is located on the sixth floor of the Siam Discovery building. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., tickets cost about $25 for adults and $20 for children.
