Madonna Returns to Israel

Madonna will be wrapping up her eighth world tour in Israel.

The singer will finish her world tour entitled, Sticky & Sweet, in Tel-Aviv, Israel on September 1.

This will be the second time the singer tours in the Holy Land. She gave a concert in 1993, and is very enthusiastic to return there again.

Madonna is not Jewish, but adopted the Hebrew name Esther for the teachings of the Kabbalah, which she practises. She made a pilgrimage to Israel in 2004 to visit Jewish gravesites.

Sticky & Sweet is the eighth world tour for Madonna. The tour began on August 23, 2008 in England, and she has visited 58 cities since then. At the end of last year, it was estimated that the tour had generated more than 280 million dollars.
