According to Britain’s ITV, Madonna has not ruled out adopting another child. The artist revealed that she first wants to spend more time with the year-old African boy.
The 48 year-old star would like to see the adoption laws of Malawi change. Madonna feels that several children could have better lives if the laws were changed.
The Hung Up singer also revealed that she was suprised that her adoption caused such a stir around the world, saying, "It was quite shocking and there’s no way I could have prepared myself for it."
Madonna and her husband, director Guy Ritchie, had been discussing adoption for two years. The star insists that her celebrity status did not help to accelerate the adoption process.
Madonna explained that she had also offered the boy’s father money to raise him in Malawi, but the father refused the proposal.
