Madonna to Record New Songs

Madonna will be recording new songs for her next compilation album.

The singer will be back in the recording studio to work on new songs that will be included in a compilation disc to be released in September.

After 25 years in the music industry, Madonna has accumulated so many hits that it was hard for her to decide which songs to include on the album.  Her manager, Guy Oseary, called upon Madonna’s fans through Twitter, asking for suggestions.

The album will also mark the end of a 25-year relationship between Madonna and Warner Music.  The singer has now signed a deal with Live Nation, which sponsored her Sticky & Sweet tour.

Madonna has previously released several compilation albums, including The Immaculate Collection and Something to Remember, which only contained ballads.  In 2001, she released GHV2.
