Back in London after the failed attempt to adopt a little girl named Mercy James, Madonna is being comforted by friends.
Friends of the 50-year-old singer told the Telegragh that the star is in shock that her adoption plans did not go through. A source quoted Madonna as saying, "I can’t believe I’m leaving my beautiful baby behind. It’s not right. I love that baby girl… She’s my little girl – she needs to be with me."
Alan Chinula, a lawyer who represented Madonna for the adoption request, has been asked by the singer to do whatever he can to reverse the judge’s decision. "Do whatever you can to get me my Mercy; I can’t imagine her going back to the orphanage," said Madonna.
