Over the past ten years, two factors have significantly changed the way people travel around the globe.

On that fateful day, four planes were seized by a dozen terrorists, leaving all those in the air and thousands more on the ground dead. Ensuring the safety of future flights has increased waiting times at airports around the world.
The second major change to the travel industry has come with the advent of new technologies in communication. Particularly the continued development of Web technology now allows multiple travelers to deal directly with airline carriers, hotels, car rental agencies and tour wholesalers. The ability to obtain information faster has brought on real competition for low prices and increased services.
We hope that the new safety standards will prevent another unfortunate incident, but we already know that technology advances will continue to change the way we travel.
