Man attempts to smuggle wife into UK in suitcase

A man tried to smuggle his wife into the United Kingdom in a suitcase.

Bogden Croitor from Lithuania was given a visa to live in Britain but after his Moldavian-born wife was twice rejected from entering the country he’s believed to have decided to try and sneak her in, the Daily Star newspaper reports.

Customs officials doing a routine stop and search on the 30-year-old’s car as he arrived in Dover, south east England found his wife hiding in his luggage.

Crotoir is said to have been to Calais, France to visit his wife, who he claims suggested the plan.
