Anthony and Lopez star together in the film El Cantante, which required the two to shoot scenes where Anthony’s character was abusive to Lopez’s character. The singer and actor revealed that although the scenes were difficult to do, his ‘normal’ marriage allowed the two stars to get through the experience.
Anthony told Latina magazine, "All my actor friends warned us, saying, ‘Those abusive husband-and-wife scenes are going to be difficult.’ It almost scared me into quitting.With those scenes, we’d end up exhausted. But driving home, we’d just look at each other and say, ‘We are so normal.’ "
