People reports that Jennifer Lopez planned a surprise party to celebrate hubby Marc Anthony’s 40th birthday.
Hoping that the party would be kept a secret until the last minute, the star admitted that she used her acting talents to lie to Marc Anthony, who had asked her if she had any plans for his birthday. "I told him it was such a busy weekend, that I might not be able to do anything," Lopez confessed.
While the musician had believed that they were going to a dinner in celebration of Katie Holmes’ Broadway show, All My Sons, J. Lo and Anthony arrived at the Bowery Hotel in New York, which had been converted into a Cuban club for the occasion.
Dita Von Teese gave a performance at the party.
