Margarine Can Be Yellow

Margarine is now free to be the same colour as butter.

Beginning this summer, the long debate over the colour of margarine comes to an end.

The Council of Ministers has modified a 21-year-old ruling that stated that margarine makers were banned from making their product yellow in colour, reports Cyberpresse.ca.

The President of the Milk Producers of Quebec, Marcel Groleau, says that margarine is no longer viewed as a substitute for butter.  He added that market shares for margarine have dropped, and butter has regained popularity over recent years.
