Billboard.com reported that Carey has been investing a lot of time and energy into putting together her upcoming album. It will be released at the beginning of the year.
This new album, which is still untitled, is following her album, The Emancipation of Mimi, which marked her comeback and won three Grammy awards for the artist.
The singer stated, "It’s hard for me to sit here and talk about it without sounding like I’m bragging if I’m in love with it, but I’m in love with this album. I think that having the success with the last record allowed me to have more freedom … and just make records that I like. It’s kind of a really fun record."
In addition to her music, Carey also launched a perfume, called M, recently.
