Carey’s twelfth album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, was initially set for release on August 25, but was then pushed back to September 15. Billboard.com has learned that the disc will now be released on September 29.
The singer also postponed a series of appearances to promote her album, including the MTV Video Music Awards and a ceremony at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
According to a source at Def Jam, Carey’s record label, the singer has asked to go back into the studio to make a few changes to the album.
