Earlier this week during a radio interview, singer Mariah Carey, 40, sparked rumours that she is pregnant with twins when she used the word “they” in reference to her baby, reports Us.
When asked if she was expecting twins, the mom-to-be said, "I’m not telling anyone!"
The singer chose to change the subject and talked about the effect the pregnancy was having on her body and her appetite. "My fingers obviously swelled a little bit," she says. "I can’t even get this ring off if I tried!"
Although she doesn’t have one specific craving, the diva says she’s been eating well – enjoying her own home-cooked mashed potatoes and corn over Thanksgiving and joked that, “What I cooked was the best thing of the holiday. I’m sorry but it was.”
"My taste bud situation is unparalleled…" she says. "I don’t know what it is, but I’m just about fruit for some reason. It has to be really good for me to like it."
Carey suffered one miscarriage shortly after her 2008 wedding to Nick Cannon, 30. On October 28, Carey confirmed that she and husband are expecting their first child, due in spring 2011.
