Mariah Carey Tour to Hit Canada

Three Canadian show dates have been added to Mariah Carey’s schedule.

The American singer has announced a tour for her album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa concerts are now on the itinerary.

Sales of Carey’s new album haven’t quite lived up to expectations, so the singer and her crew hope to give it a boost with her tour across America, which begins with a big New Year’s show on December 31 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

The Angels Advocate Tour will then be underway in Atlantic City on January 2, and will wrap up in Las Vegas on February 27, 2010. The Canadian shows will take place on February 4 in Montreal’s Bell Centre, February 6 at the Ottawa ScotiaBank Place and February 9 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Mariah Carey did not embark on a tour for her E=MC2 album, the predecessor to Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. At the time, her relationship with Nick Cannon, who is now her husband, was experiencing some tribulation.
