Carey insists that her music isn’t making any references to Eminem, despite rumours that the singer is continuing to wage a lyrical war with the rapper, reports Starpulse.
During an interview, Carey refused to talk about her former friend, but did mention that it’s wrong for Eminem to poke fun at her husband, Nick Cannon, in his song. She explained, "Eight years ago, maybe I knew that person, kind of, in a very platonic way and yet they’re still using my name in songs in order to boost their career, which I don’t think is working."
The singer then asked the media to stop reporting that her songs are about Eminem. "If I write a song, called Why Are You So Upset With Me, and people are seeing that person in the song, that’s not my problem."
