According to IMDB Pro, the 36 year-old singer is suing the porn star for using her name. The Hero singer if furious and feels that fans might become confused by the two women using the same name.
The porn star Mariah Carey, whose real name is Mary Cook, is not intimadated by the Grammy Winner, saying, "It’s kind of funny because I’m a porn star and I’ve been being myself for a long time. I think she’s being silly."
David Beitchman, Cook’s attorney, doesn’t feel that confusion among fans could become a problem. Beitchman explained, "My first thought was, does Mariah Carey realize what her lawyer is comparing her to and are they seriously concerned?"
