Martin Scorcese will be directing his favourite actor Leonardo DiCaprio, whom he has directed in four different movies, along with actor Mark Ruffalo in the drama co-produced by Paramount and Columbia Pictures.
In this adaptation of the novel by Dennis Lehane, Ruffalo will play Chuck Aule, an American officer who accompanies his team member (played by DiCaprio), to Shutter Island, Massachusetts, to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a patient from a psychiatric hospital. Their investigation opens up a twisted story of lies. Filming will begin in March.
In the meantime, Mark Ruffalo will be filming the movie Real Men Cry in Boston, alongside Ethan Hawke, Amanda Peet and Jay Giannone.
