According to RadarOnline, Wahlberg was admitted to a hospital on Friday (August 14). He was having difficulty breathing after spending too much time near smoke machines on the set of the film, in which the actor plays boxer Mickey Ward.
"Mark was working on a scene where a smoke machine was being used for atmosphere and apparently he breathed in too much smoke," said a witness who was at the scene.
When the 38-year-old actor began having a hard time breathing, he was taken to General Hospital of Massachusetts, where he was placed on a respirator to clean his lungs. He was released later the same day.
