Mary and Max to Open Sundance Film Festival

The film Mary and Max will open the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Adam Elliot’s animated film has been chosen to lead the festivities at Sundance this year.  The 25th annual event will begin on January 15.

Featuring the voices of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Toni Collette, the film chronicles the friendship between an eight-year-old girl in Melbourne, Australia, and a 46-year-old obese man living in New York.

Mary and Max is the first film of its genre to be selected to open the Sundance Film Festival.
