Massive Attack hits North America

Toronto is the only Canadian stop on the Massive Attack mini-tour.

Massive Attack just released their first album in seven years, Heligoland. The British trip-hop duo from Bristol decided to cross the Atlantic to perform nine shows in five cities.

Canadians will have to travel to Hogtown if they want to catch 3D and Daddy G live in concert; two shows are scheduled at Toronto’s Sound Academy on May 7 and 9. The same formula goes for New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

They will then play one outdoor show at the Sasquatch! Music Festival on May 30. That concert is happening near George, Washington at The Gorge. It is one of the most scenic concert venues in North America.

Massive Attack’s latest album, Heligoland, has been receiving very favourable reviews. The list of collaborators on the album include Damon Albarn from Blur, Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, Adrian Utley from Portishead and Tunde Adebimpe from TV on the Radio.
