Although People magazine crowned the star as the "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2007, actor Matt Damon believes that his title is in jeopardy after gaining several pounds for his role in a new film.
Damon, who plays an FBI informant in the film, joked, "I think I lost my (Sexiest Man Alive) title."
"It wasn’t necessarily that I needed to be fat – it was that I needed to be ‘doughy’," added the star.
Damon has been facing constant ribbing from his friends for expanding his waistline to enhance his performance.
Steven Soderbergh is directing The Informant, which opens in theatres on March 27.
