Matthew Williamson designs for Bulgari

Designer Matthew Williamson launches a unique collection for Bulgari.

Vogue UK reports that luxury jeweller Bulgari has teamed up with designer Matthew Williamson to launch a leather goods collection for the Spring/Summer 2011 season.

This marks the first collaboration between Bulgari and the British designer. This unique collection of handbags will be presented during Milan Fashion Week next September.

Francesco Trapani, chief executive officer of the Italian jeweller, said they selected Williamson "for the great sense of colour and design he brings to his work."

This is not the first time Williamson has collaborated with a big label. He created a ready-to-wear and accessories collection for H&M as well as a jewellery line with Swarovski.

His jewellery line with Swarovski was created for the Spring/Summer 2010 season and is only available in New York, Tokyo, Vienna and London.

Matthew Williamson is well known for his surprising colour blends as well as his psychedelic patterns.
