McFly singer Tom Fletcher is expecting his first child with wife Giovanna Falcone.
The 28-year-old star and his spouse – who wed last year and are childhood sweethearts from the age of 13 – announced their happy news in a unique and topical manner today (10.29.13) by carving the words ‘We’re having a baby’ into Halloween pumpkins.
The expectant parents shared their baby joy in a YouTube video which saw them carve pumpkins for the annual holiday, and at the end of the clip they finally showed off their finished decorations – revealing the joyous news.
Responding to the flood of well wishes, Tom wrote on Twitter: ”Thank you very much for all the lovely messages. We couldn’t hide it any longer…literally! 😉 (sic)”
He then quipped: ”Although if the little Fletcher thinks I’m sharing my toys he’s/she’s got another thing coming! (sic)”
Giovana’s brother, Mario Falcone – who appears on British reality TV show ‘The Only Way is Essex’ – led the congratulations for the happy couple.
He tweeted: ”Yay Uncle Mario :)… Congratulations to my sister @MrsGiFletcher and @tommcfly… Cannot wait! So happy (sic)”
Tom’s McFly bandmate Harry Judd wrote: ”Congratulations Tom & Gi (sic)”
Fellow McFly star Danny Jones added: ”Yessss… congratulations to the wonderful @tommcfly and @MrsGiFletcher brilliant news! Love me and @GeorgiaHorsley1 (sic)”
