The game publisher Electronic Arts, EA for enthusiasts, announced a new song by Linkin Park will be included in the soundtrack of the next edition of their popular game Medal of Honor, a first-person shooter based on WW2 battles.
However, for this new version, the action takes place in the mountains of Afghanistan.
For this collaboration, Linkin Park gave EA the rights to the song The Catalyst that will be part of their upcoming album, A Thousand Suns, in stores September 14, 2010.
The trailer for the game, which will be unveiled Sunday August 1st, will also include music by Linkin Park. The group’s DJ, Joe Hahn, who has also directed several of the band’s videos, made the trailer.
