In an interview with New York Times magazine, Fox said that she’s had enough of women who think she’s shameless, even though she has revealed certain details about her sex life.
"Girls think I’m a slut. I’ve been in the same relationship since I was 18," said Fox, who is dating actor Brian Austin Green.
The 23-year-old star says that women can be wicked. She explained, "If they think you’re attractive, you’re either stupid or a whore or a dumb whore."
"If I had been a typical starlet and said all the right things, I wouldn’t have escalated to this level," Fox says. "I sit down and do an interview and I talk like a person and that, for some reason, is shocking. All women in Hollywood are known as sex symbols. You’re sold, and it’s based on sex. That’s O.K., if you know how to use it."
Regarding her frequent nearly nude appearances in men’s magazines, the actress claims it’s all for her character. She added that it’s totally ridiculous to pose in underwear. Fox went on to mention that she hates to be perceived as a sexual person. Unlike Angelina Jolie, the star most often compared to Fox, she is not a tigress. She says she’s quite serious, and has an excellent sense of humour, but sarcasm in an interview doesn’t always read well.
