The singer, who was convinced by Simon Fuller to reunite with the other Spice Girls, is the only group member who did not write a word of thanks to the manager for the Greatest Hits disc.
The relationship between the Spice Girls and the music guru has always been tense, but the situation became even worse for Mel C after Fuller suggested that she take singing lessons before the reunion tour. A source close to the group said, "The girls have been told by Simon Fuller that they need to get their voices back in training and should start having singing lessons as soon as possible. But Mel C is furious as she thinks her voice is already in shape."
Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Mel C will be in Vancouver, Canada on December 2 for their first show after a seven year separation. The girls will also appear tonight (November 16) on the BBC Children in Need telethon.
