Lyudmila Chernukha, whose daughter Oksana Grigorieva is dating Mel Gibson, has stated that her daughter is not responsible for the divorce between the Australian actor and his wife of 28 years, Robyn.
"He split up with his wife three years ago, so to suggest that she has broken up their marriage is rubbish. He was no longer with his wife so he was bound to meet some woman at some point, it just happened to be Oksana," Chernukha told People magazine.
When she was asked about the rumors that Oksana is pregnant, she refused comment. "I can’t say anything. Wait for the official statement from them," she said.
The divorce between Mel Gibson and is wife is not official yet, but the 53-year-old said that he has been separated from his wife since August 2006, one month after he was arrested for drunk driving.
