A lawyer for the star made the agreement with the courts in part of a plea agreement for Gibson’s recent drunk-driving arrest.
Last month, Gibson was stopped by police when he was driving 87 kilometres per hour in a 45 km zone in California. He was found by officers to be drunk, as was also making several antisemetic comments during the incident.
The 50 year-old Australian actor later made a public apology for his behaviour while he was inebriated. The star was able to keep his driver’s license, although he will be restricted for 90 days.
