Nine months after finding a malignant tumor, she announced today that she is cancer free.
At the same time, she announced that she would like to have another baby with her partner, actress Tammy Lynn Michaels.

The 44 year-old star and her 30 year-old partner would like to have artificial insemination to have a new baby. Etheridge already has two children from a previous relationship.
Etheridge will launch her new CD in October. The Road Less Traveled is a compilation that includes four new songs, and two new remixes, including Piece of My Heart from Janis Joplin and Refugee by Tom Petty.
